Originating in Rochester, NY and founded by Lou Grossi in 1965, who began as a sole finish
carpenter and brought his sons, Nick and Steve, onto the job sites at an early age. Lou not only
taught his two sons old-world carpentry skills, but instilled values of creating long-lasting
relationships with both clients, vendors, and subcontractors alike, through hard work, attention
to detail, and integrity, which continue to serve as the firm’s business foundation. For over 50
years, Louis J. Grossi, Inc. has evolved to a premiere general contractor through word-of-mouth
referrals, specializing in creating fine custom homes and renovations throughout Western New
York, including the Finger Lakes Region.
Steve Grossi, President of Louis J. Grossi, Inc., has over 35 years of experience as a general
contractor and master finish carpenter with a hands-on approach from consultation to
completion of each and every project. Steve attributes the growth and success of Louis J.
Grossi, Inc. to the foundational skills and life lessons taught by his father and having the
privilege of collaborating with the best subcontractors and vendors to deliver an unparalleled
end result. Steve’s personal dedication is to be the very best in service and craftsmanship by

Founded in the mid 1960s by Louis J. Grossi, Grossi Builders has been providing new construction, remodeling, additions, and renovations for over 50 years. Today, Steve and his team are successfully building and remodeling masterpieces in the most prestigious neighborhoods in the Rochester, NY + Finger Lakes area, while maintaining the same level of quality customer service and craftsmanship their father founded the company with.
Louis J. Grossi raised his sons in the world of residential construction industry and trained them as finish carpenters by trade. They slowly grew to a level of General Contracting for custom home building projects. Our vision is to maintain a high level of quality by being the last ones to leave a project. This means every home gets the utmost level of attention and detail. Steve is continuing the legacy his father started back in the 1960s and is personally involved in all projects from start to finish.
